Server 2003 does not show anything in "description"
On a 2003 server I have a number of users, on the users page there is a column to show which groups the user belongs to, this column is called "description". For most of the users in the groups called "users" the word "Users" is in this column, for a few the field is blank.
Does anyone know of a way (other that deleting the user & re-entering them again) to change this so that they too are listed as being in the group "Users"? Not being listed in the description as being in the group, even though they are in the group, has bad consequences when the user is using a PC with VISTA to log in to the network. For more details see my posting titled, "VISTA won't create files or folders on server" at: http://www.techsupportforum.com/netw...tml#post833648

Re: Server 2003 does not show anything in "description"
Have you tried switching the user(s) in question group to something else (like Power Users) and then back to Users right away? That might fix it. I will check on another computer for a way to change this option.

No I didn't. I did try adding her to another group & then removing her from the group, that name didn't pop up either.
