mail public ip address and firewall public ip address is different..:(
this is the setup.. our ISP assigned one static public ip address.. and the mail server is behind a firewall.. when i go to whatismyipaddress.com it detects a different ip.. not the one given by our ISP.. for example our assigned ip is 505.467.86.90 but the detected ip by that site is 505.467.86.91.. thats why some mail servers block us.. they see us 505.467.86.91 but our domain name mail.xyz.com.ph is assigned to 505.467.86.90
im confused, i dont know if additional configurations should be made to our firewall or isp.. |
