Isolating Computers in a Network
- hey guys recently our network was infected by the ravmone.exe virus and i find the virus in one of the computers in our administration department. in our network the IT and administration department are the only ones who has full access to the internet and the rest of the departments have restricted access.is there a way to isolate the admin department giving them full access to the internet and to our fileservers but at the same time the rest of the deparments are protected from malicous incidents that would come from the admin department(incase).

Re: Isolating Computers in a Network
Buy a firewall and place it between admin department and other office network, configure the firewall to only allow fileservers access traffic from admin department to other office network.
Hope helps.. :o) picoHat Home Network and Wireless Network Help |
