OS: windows xp sp2


Unable to browse Workgroup

I have my desktop and laptop networked togather the desktop connects to the internet via dial-up and my laptop acceses the internet from my desktop. the internet works fine but the problem is i cant share my files when i click on "View Workgroup Computers" the message "Mshome is not accessilbe. You might not have permission to use this network resource. contact the admin of this server to find out if you have access permissions. The list of servers for this workgroup are currently available" comes up when i try it on both pc's can you help me? I used the network setup wiz and slected share files on both ps's.

You can try this idea it might not work, but lets see.

Click on Start, Then right hand click on My computer, The click on Properties, Then Click on the 'Tab' Computer Name, The Go down and click on Change The go down to 'Workgroup' and type in the name of your Workgroup in that area.
