XP Remote Deskto thru router for 4 systems

I would like to be able to use Windows XP Pro's "Remote Desktop" application to access more than one system behind my WRT54G router.

I understand that I need to use Port Forwarding on the router to do this, but how can I set it up to enable access to any of the 4 systems that are behind it?

Thx in advance

You will need to change the listening port on each computer you want to remote to. Then, on the router, map the port to the IP of the computer accordingly.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306759

When you fire up RDC you will need to type in the IP address of the router followed by the port number.
i.e. xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:39862

I understand now that I can use Port Forwarding on the router to do this, and that I can tell Remote Desktop to use a different port for each of the 4 systems.

My last question is this:
If I use a strong password for RD access, am I fairly secure from outside attacks?

Yes along with changing the default listening port. However I do not think that the login is encrypted. It might be sent in clear text. The most secure way to log into your network would be with VPN.
