Wireless Router Woes
I have a laptop that I'm installing on a wireless router. Before calling the tech support people with my problem, the laptop worked fine when hooked up with a network cable. After dealing with Netgear tech support, it won't even do that now. I have no clue what changes they had me do that caused this. Here's what my IP CONFIG readout looks like. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What Netgear Router do you have?. Try resetting the router to the factory defaults. I would ignore Netgear support but look at the troubleshooting guides for your router at http://kbserver.netgear.com/main.asp.

I don't have the laptop plugged into any router right now. The laptop is hooked up directly through a network cable and I still can't get to the internet. It all worked fine, PRIOR to hooking it to the router.
Another thing about the wireless router. The direct connection via ethernet cable to my desktop computer work's fine, the wireless part of the router doesn't. |
