Hey members i didnt know where to put this topic in so i jsut put it in here so if it needs to be trasfered im sorry
![]() Im having allot of problems with networking my computers to the internet and to each other, now the internet works on one computer 24/7 but one of them keeps dropping out and only works in the mornings and late at night, for some reason in the day time it drops out from around (12pm to 8pm) in that time frame. But one computer is always on and always works with the internet. Now im running my network like this ====================|--------- computer1 Cable modem --- router---| ====================|--------- computer2 ( ==== means nothing ) Computer1 is right next to the router and computer2 is in another room My network is running of cables so computer2 is about 25mrts away and im running it of cat6 cabling Both computers r running the same windows (xp windows home) and both have all updates (sp2 etc),, another problem I am having is networking them both together so I can share files from one another. I tried using network wizard but some reason it won’t work If you want any more info please just write an msg, I need to solve out this problem because it’s driving me up the wall that I can only get on the internet on one computer in the morning and at night.. Thanks people and I hope u can help me!! ![]() |

Check router settings>schedule, parental controls, blocking, etc. (also check software firewall) It sounds like your settings are blocking that computer from accessing the net at that time. Can't be more specific as there are too many ways the block could be setup. For instance, if you are blocking sites through your router, one computer only will have access to all sites. If it's a scheduling thing, the non-working computer may be blocked from all access during those days/hours. Yours is most likely a scheduling issue or parental control

ive already had a look at that and no websites are blo0cked and ip server i think they called it in the router settings is switched of, that was one of the first things i checked,, also the firewalls on both computers hvae been changed to allow connections in etc so all that is done.
