Network Printer

Help

I have a HP C5180 network printer that is scanner also on my home network. The problem I'm having is the scanner part won't scann from the any the computers. I have 4 computers on my network. I can print from all the computers but can not scan from them. The scanner will work manually from in front of the the printer if i use a memory card. The print has memory card slots on it for printing pictures and saving scanned doc. My network has a Linksys router 4 port and wireless. (DSL). The printer is showing up in the router and has a IP address. I can loggon on to the printer from any of the computers. I disabled all the firewalls on on the computers and in the router.

Are you sure the scanning function isn't restricted to the USB connection? Many multi-function machines don't offer scanning capability over the network.
