help on how to use internet connection test..

what type of connection do i choose???? because i have VERIZON DSL, and a linksys router, and then from the router i have a ethernet DIRECTLY connected to my computer upstairs, which is the computer that i want to test maybe? because i use that ethernet (the computers upstairs) for my xbox live (which is what is laggin for me) so what do i need to choose? im at school so i cant do the panda right now..

whats the difference between adsl and the other one? and which computer should i be testing this from? the main computer which is directly hooked to my linksys router or my computer that is ran with a ethernet from the router (upstairs, which i use for xbox live)

I really think it doesn't matter. They just give you a baseline to compare to other types of the same connection.
