Symantec Backup Exec Network Problem
Hey, I am trying to put an image on one of are servers. It is a Dell PowerEdge 2950. Well, we use Symantec and we have the image saved on the network storage center. So, we pop in the symantec backup exec recovery cd and... we cannot connect to the network. All physical connections are good to go but we can't configure anything. Symantec can't even recognize the NIC's. So.... I was wondering if I can download the drivers and slipstream them to Symantec Backup Exec iso? I don't know how to do this though so if someone does I would appreciate it. OR, can I put the drivers on a jump drive and when the boot from cd comes up hit F6 and load them manually? Is that possible? Thanks guys in advance.

Re: Symantec Backup Exec Network Problem
Buy a copy of Acronis True image workstation 9.1 and Universal restore plugin. This works great especially for the Dells since the hardware is nonstandard. Otherwise, follow the windows slipstream directions for making an xp with SP2 install cd. Only use your backupexec recovery cd and add the dell drivers to all the directories before burning. It might work.
