wireless in high voltage area
Hey all!
I need to install wireless network in area underneath high voltage line. I was wondering will it affect wireless? What problems should I could expect? Thanks in advance :)

I have had a similar situation come up and we did successfully install a wireless network under high voltage lines. These were the main lines coming into the city on the HUGE tower. They were probably 100 feet to one side. I used this router:
http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satel...VisitorWrapper Seems to work for the client. We had to travel about 250 feet to the next computer, through a metal building. So to answer your question, while it MAY have an effect on your wireless I don't think that it makes it dangerous or impossible. |
