Problem setting up network
Hi
I have a linksys WRT54GS router. I've connected both PCs onto this through Eithernet cable. MI want my pc to connect to the kids pc, but what is happening is the kids pc is connecting to mine but i can't connect to the kids pc. I've tried pinging and it doesn't ping either, but it connects to the internet no problem. I've type ipconfig /all and these are the results. Try switching the cable between the two computers. You may have a cross over cable in there.

sounds like a DNS issue if you're using DHCP from the router...check the network settings on each PC and make sure obtain DNS and IP address automatically is being used instead of static addresses |

Failure to ping by IP address is almost ALWAYS a firewall issue. You need to look closer at the security programs installed on the system you can't ping.
