i have bt home hub broadband i can connect my desktop pcs by ethernet and by wireless, they both work on wireless, just only have 1 pci card, so i know the hub is ok. the problem i am having is..... i have a packard bell easy note, it is running windows me, and i can not seem to get it to connect to the hub. i have d-link wireless cardbus i changed it to adhoc as i read some where they run on this,it seems to pick up the hub but no internet
connection i think it will be somthing simple to do with setting it all up but i am no computer whizz so i would be very greatfull of any help to get my notebook on the internet. thanks to all in advancecal. ![]() |

AdHoc won't work to connect to the Internet using that BT Home Hub, you must use Infrastructure mode. What kind of encryption are you running on the wireless side? Have you tried disabling all encryption to see if that's the issue?

wireless probs
i have tryed all sorts. i think it is just some kind of configaration but i dont know what, i have tryed a usb wireless dongle today it does the same thing, but if i connect it to my desktop that is running xp i get a balloon come up on my tool bar i click that and a couple of other things and it configures itself,and then ask for my wireless key i know xp is more advanced and that is why it can do this but this makes me thing i just need to configure the wireless but being a total pc numpty i dont know what to put where
