Cannot connect to my wireless network at all.

Hello guys,
I have a westell versalink 327w router that I cannot connect to. Someone I know has the same router and I have been able to connect to his. The configuration settings for his monitor are exactly the same (barring SSID of course) and I still cannot connect to my router here. I know that the wireless option is enabled because it shows up on the list of routers that are available to me. Whenever I try and connect to it, it just says "Please wait while windows connects to this network". It does this for 1 minute and stops.

If anyone can give me any clue towards a solution it would be greatly appreciated.

Disable encryption until you get it connected, then enable it as a separate step.

Problem solved. I found out that some cards have problems with my westell modem and I had to upgrade the firmware.

It says Dell, but I have the same problem on a HP laptop.

The firmware is a bit odd, it kept saying "upgrade failed" after saying "transfer successful" ignore that.
