How long do rebates usually take?

Figured I would put this topic in here since it has to do with a linkssy rebate.

Anwyas, about the 2nd week of october I mailed in a rebate to linksys for $15. Well almost 3 weeks ago a got an email that said it had been processed and a check was coming. It also gave me a link and a number to put in to track my rebate. Well I've been looking at the progress everyday, and it is still on step 2 of 4 "Being processed" I've always been skeptical of rebates. I think that they are just a scam to get people to buy their product becuase people look at that reduced price after the rebate and think "Sweet!"

yeah, I don't think compaines ever pay these rebates. The first time I ever mailed in for one was about 10 years ago when I maield a $10 rebate for some floppy disks I bought. Lets just say I'm still waiting for that check to come in.

SO how long am I supposed to wait for this lkinkssy one?

Not sure with Linksys, but I know with Staples after I receive confirmation it's generally another 2 weeks or so.

It can take a month after the "check is mailed".

hmm, going on 2 months for the linkssy one, and 10 years for the floppy disk one.
