network cards for a dell pc
So I got a network card from pc world today so that i could conect my 2 computers via a local area conection. As i went to install it i noticed that the network card was too big and doesent fit. Does this mean i have to buy a special network card for a dell pc?

That depends on the specific Dell PC. If you have one of the low-profile models, you need a low-profile card.

I can't say, how does the card "not fit"? Is it too tall, or is it too long? Low profile cases have a much shorter mounting bracket on the expansion cards, they're pretty easy to spot.

I was just checking out the specs of the machine and it claims to have an onboard network card, you may not need to install a new one. Here is my reference:
