Problem connecting with other computer
And if "connecting" is the wrong word, sorry.
On Network Places where I could browse through the other computer on the network I run into an error every now and then where it just doesn't work anymore. I click on the folder for the other computer and I get a "The network path was not found" error. |

"Is this a home network or a corporate network?"
Home "Are you running XP Pro?" Yes, this computer is. The master computer is Win 98. I want to be able to still browse in that computer to transfer files. Sometimes I could do it and sometimes I get the "Network Path was not found" error, the latter of which happens more often. How could I find out what's wrong with it and keep that connection? |

Uh oh.

Have you tried accessing the 98 machine like this:
\\<ip address>\<path> Where IP address is the address of the 98 machine, and the path is what folder you want to go on the 98 machine. When you get the error, try pinging the other machine by typing: On the XP machine. Go to Start - run, then type cmd. Next type Ping <ip address> |
