Hard wired network help...
I'm new here and cpu illiterate :)
Our diamond shop has a computer in it, and we have a seperate office in the building with a computer. I need to know, what needs to be done next so that these 2 machines can see one another. Our Retail management software needs to be accessed by both machines. I have purchased and installed a wireless router D-Link Dir-625, the signal is too weak since there is a brick wall seperating both parts of the building. My question would be this, do I run an ethernet cable from one office to the other? Wiring it through the D-link router? HELP!! Thanks in advance, Regards, Gerry the Jeweller |

Yes run a CAT5e cable from one office to the other and connect one end to the router and the other to one PC then connect a short CAT5e cable form the other PC to the router also. I'm assuming that the router will be near one PC or the other.
