network 2 pc's by cable and connect to wireless internet?
Hi there, i'm a newbie here and not what you would call an expert on pc's, so please be patient if i dont explain myself all that well.
I have recently bought a second pc and have networked them using 2 ethernet's and a crossover cable. Both pc's can see each other and i can share files and printer, so that's fine. The host pc is connected to the internet via a wireless connection and that works fine....BUT heres my problem, the client pc cannot/will not connect to the internet ( i want to share the host's connection with the client).. I've tried everything i can think of but no luck, i'm starting to think i'm trying to do something that isn't possible, am I? ANY help or suggestions would be gratefully received Thanks Rich Last edited by mavman; 10-18-2006 at 03:29 PM. |

You need to configure ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) on the host machine. See if this page gets you started: http://www.homenethelp.com/ics/index.asp
