Hey, not sure if this is in the correct secion of these forums, but here's my problem anyway.
Me and three other people run www.clanshout.co.uk - a server hosting company for the PC computer game - Operation Flashpoint. Our problem is this: we have many different email addresses with the company, such as sales@clanshout.co.uk, help@clanshout.co.uk and my own personal barry@clanshout.co.uk. These email addresses can send emails to 99% of email addresses, and they are always delivered. However, when sending to hotmail addresses, they never get through. In some instances, they end up in the junk email folder, but if you turn off hotmail's junk mail filter, they do not get through at all. This is except for our admin@clanshout.co.uk, which sends emails to hotmail customers and everyone else without any problems. This email is automatically sent by our forums when a user receives a private message. what is this automated admin@clanshout.co.uk doing differently that our own 'human' controlled email addresses are doing wrong? |

This is a common issue with many forums, if they see excessive emails from a specific domain, they reject all the mail as SPAM. It's also independent of the individual user's SPAM filter.

i'm not sure if this is the case, because we use our sales@clanshout.co.uk to send out invoices, which we do via paypal. Paypal issues emails from our sales@clanshout.co.uk email address and it is always received by hotmail customers. as to the smtp server... i'm not too sure what that even means lol i'll ask the other guys and see what they say about it. |

I guess I'm not sure what your issue is in that case.
