Hi, I have No. of PCs on a network on remote locations, is there a way I can repair or format a PC and setup WindowsXP remotely without visiting their locations.

You can use either Win2K server or Win2K3 server to push out images.

@ bilbus
This is just a personal question for me but how does acronis handle SIDs. I know that this was a big issue with Ghost and you had to use Ghostwalker to change the SID on the remote computer. This can to be more of a hassle than what is was worth. Does acronis give out different SIDs for each computer or is it just an image of the host computer?

it does not handle sids at all.

I use newsid.exe from system internals and execute that on each pc before i deploy it out. Take about 5 mins to run, makes a random SID and also changes PC name

if you have an important pc you can set it to do an online backup image of the pc every night. It does it in windows, no need to take pc/server down to image.
