PC cannot find printer on network
Established wireless network with new IMac in office and Dell PC laptop in house. Apple Express wireless router; Netgear WG511v2 wireless plug in on PC. Everything works fine...both computers can get online, check email, etc. EXCEPT, PC cannot find the printer on the network/router. The Mac can find and use the printer (Epson CX6400), but the PC cannot. Airport Express Instructions said to use add printer wizard and establish an IP Port at IP_10.0.1.1, which I did, but it can't seem to find the printer. Noticed Netgear plug in is on IP_10.0.1.4, so have also tried to set up printer on that IP address, but still nothing. I don't believe this is an Apple/PC issue, since everything else works. I believe it is some setting or address or something I'm not finding on the PC. Can you help?
Thanks, PCMAC |

One more detail
Forgot one detail: when I double click the printer icon on the lower taskbar, it says "communication error," so it must be some sort of setting within the laptop PC. It never gets to the router, so to speak.
Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated, inasmuch as I have been trying to get this to work for over a week. Thanks, SM |
