Hi,
I recently migrated from a domain to a new domain. I have had all the usual solvable teething problems but I have found one really frustrating problem. I have tried many things to try and solve this problem but cant. If anyone can help or have any suggestions please post. I shall explain the problem now: I moved the printers on the network to a new server and all seemed to be running fine until I added one user to their printers and was shot an error message - "you do not have sufficient access to your computer to connect to the selected printer" - I can add the printer with admin rights but it will not print and does not pick up the port IP address when you right click it and go to - properties - ports. I can ping the printer fine though. This is really frustrating and confusing. Please help us! Thanks in advance for any help. |

Remove all the printers with cleanspl.exe
This is found in the Win2003 resource kit. Please follow the instructions for using this utility written by Bruce Sanders, MS-MVP Printing: http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/CleanPrinterDrivers.htm Then add the printers anew with the Add Printer Wizard. Why do you have to do this? Because your Domain SID has changed.
