Wireless keeps dropping
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me here. I have a laptop that has a built-in wireless capability. Just recently it happen that the wireless connection has been dropping out. it really annoys me to the point that i really need to find out why. I use netgear WG602 v3 as the wireless access point. I'm not sure if this is caused by the access point or the laptop's wireless built-in card. just wonder how to troubleshoot this. What i usually do if it goes down is to unplug the power cord out of the wireless access point and plug it back in and most of the time, it does the magic. I can understand it if the connection goes down once in a while. But if the wireless connection drops out very often, this can be irritating. The connection goes down very randomly. Your idea is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance |

Update the firmware on the router.
After this step is taken, choose another channel. "6" is bad. Try 1.
