Running two dlink routers; proper configuration for port forwarding

Aloha All!

I love these forums and have used them for years, I finally have something I can't find in the search...

I am trying to accept incoming connections to ports TCP 5631 and UDP 5632 on destination IP address 192.168.1.101

My current setup is:
cable modem
connected to:
dlink di-524 wifi 4 port router dhcp on(1 laptop and 1 pc connected to this router)
connected to:
router di-604 dhcp on(2 computers and 1 switch connected to this router)

Cable IP 77.xx.xx.xx
Di-524 LAN 192.168.0.1
Di-604 WAN 192.168.0.101
Di-604 LAN 192.168.1.1
Destination PC IP 192.168.1.101

Since I have the 604 connected to a LAN port of the 524 I had to set the 604 to a different lan ip. The internet and everything works fine. However I am unable to setup port forwarding and get responses from pcanywhere.

Can anyone offer some advice for me? I have a feeling what I am doing is not allowed but dlink support said it was. After multiple attempts with them on the phone I am relegated to using TSF for my answer. Dlink was a bit out of touch (I believe) with what I was asking.

Thanks for any help...

On router #2:

Di-604 LAN 192.168.1.1 <<==== change to 192.168.1.253
Disable the DHCP server on the second router.

All IPs will be issued by router #1
All port forwarding is done on router #1

Connect from the Uplink port of Router #1 to a regular LAN port on router #2
The WAN port must not be used on Router #2
