Need to cleanup Sis PC remotely?
I'm running XP pro, cable conn. thru a WGR614 netgear router and need to connect to my sis computer running XP Home and she has cable thru a ""Linksys Broadband router with 2 phone ports model #RT31P2-VD""
She can get around that router if it's a problem and connect the patch cable directly from the modem to the PC NIC card. Any how, she is eat-up with spyware and is 120 miles away and I need to try to clean it up.... Any step-by-steps to get her connected to me via remote desktop or is there a easy to setup free program to do this?? I'm somewhat concerned due to the routers and really don't know where to begin.

Use Remote Desktop. XP Home supports RD as client.
You need to port forward 3389 TCP and 3389 UDP through both of your routers. Instructions for port forwarding: http://www.portforward.com/default.htm Remote Desktop Tutorial: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/p...op/default.asp
