ADSL sharing...
Hello.
I have a question, I will be glad if you can help me. I am currently using a 256K adsl with unlimited traffic. When I'm connected my ip address is invalid and in range of 192.168.100.x I have created a user account in networking and it can connect to my dialing my phone no. When I share my internet connection for this account, the user only connects to me and cannot use my internet. Can any one please help me what should I do? My system is Windows XP pro Sp2 I have two choices for my connection. 1- connect my ADSL modem to my DI-624's WAN port and then I get connected trough the router. Or I plug the modems output in DI-624's Lan port then creat a connection and use it to connect to my provider and the router becomes an access point between my wireless connection and the adsl modem. Please help me if any software I have to use? What should I do.?? Thank you very much.

If you have a router, what's the problem? Just install the router and you'll have multiple connections for the computers.
If the modem alone has an address in the 192.168.x.x range, then it's really a modem/router. The make/model of the ADSL device would be a big help.

My client that will connect to me is about 4 Km far ! There are tall buildings between us and we cannot install wireless. My Adsl modem is Fiberhome AN1020-01T My system accepts incomming connections and I have created a user for it. My friend will dial my number and use the username/pass I gave him to connect me and go online. It should be some software that I can replace ICS to do routing and NAT for me... Thanks

So what you're really trying to do is share the internet with one or more dial-up accounts? Nothing that I can think of off-hand will fill the bill for that use.
