Can't connect to the internet

For some reason every time I start up my computer I my System 32 folder pops up. To make matters worse I can't log onto the internet with anything. Not with IE firefox Outlook etc. Although every other computer in my house is working fine. Any suggestions?

Presumably all computers are actually connecting via an ADSL Modem/Router. Is the problem computer getting its IP address automatically from the router? It should most likely have an address in a 192.168.x.x range.

Have you run a spyware scanner? If not I would recommend downloading something like Spybot S&D and run a scan.

Sounds like malware to me, the system32 folder popping up is a classic sign.
