wireless network

Good morning folks:
Afriend of mine wants to be able to hook two computers (lap top and a PC)
wielessly to the internet,I know it can be done if you network the two with hard wire,but can it be done VIA WAP ie a wierless network card???(if there is such a thing)...Thank you very much...GaryD.. ,

Are you talking the computers to each other without a router? If so yes it can be done. They would need to be set up in ad hoc mode. Here is a discription.

Thank you for the lead but was wondering if this could be done for dialup instead of high speed broadband,he does not have high speed.(not available in his area)

You can connect the two machines ad-hoc and use wireless. Then, configure the dial-up machine to use ICS.
