wireless network duplicate IP

my computer is on a wireless network with just one other computer, the one i'm on now. Today when i powered up my computer (it was turned off in a power outage...everything else is working fine) it wont connect to the network (it sees it, but wont get past "Aquiring the network adress"). this computer (the one with a physical connection to the router...the other has a wireless connection) gave an error that there was a duplicate IP on the network. How can i fix this problem?

Try assigning static IP's to both of the computers.
