this is kinda confusing.
..ok i have a comtrend dsl/modem, three computers on my network two old dell optiplex systems with 3com nic cards, one running windows xp pro and the other running windows server 2003, and an IBM thinkpad t43 laptop running windows xp pro. the two dell optiplex systems cannot ping each other, nor can they detect the dsl modem, but when i attach the network cord directly to my laptop from each of the dells i can ping it and share files with no problem. there cant be any problems with the nic cards because all the computers can ping my laptop when connected directly. please help i am about to smash them....
