Router not working at random times.

Okay, at first i thought it was my internet. It seemed like it would go down a few times an hour, for a few minutes at a time.

Then, i noticed when i try to access my router at those times, it wont come up. And that would have nothing to do with my internet, right?

Anyways, i reset it, and reput in my forwarded ports. And it worked better for like a day, and now its back to before.

The weird part is, that when it does this, nothing disconnects, ie AIM xfire, and other programs connected to the internet. Web pages, and pinging (in the comand prompt) doesnt work.

As im pinging(googlec.com), it'll timeout a few times(3-20 times), and then it'll be fine and everything will work fine.

This is getting pretty annoying, so i decided to come ask here.

Info on my router:

Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router
Firmware Version: v3.01.3
(all i could find, tell me where to go if more info is needed)

It also effects the computer that is wired into the router, so its not only the wireless computer.

How would i fix this?

Thanks,
Vern

Have you tried performing a "hard reset" of the router back to factory default settings and then configuring it again from scratch? Might help.

Have you looked for updated firmware for the router? If that fails, the router may simply be failing.
