my netgear router keeps knocking my mac osx offline!!!
I have a Mac OSX in a downstairs office and a pc(Dell) windows XP in a upstairs office. I have verizon dsl westell model # 890 210015 04. I have an ethernet cable running from my upstairs pc to the downstairs office into a Netgear router(model 3MR814 v2). so both the mac and pc are connected to the Netgear router via ethernet cables. the connections are fine and work great, BUT after a few hours the MAC get knocked offline. I have had verizon tech support make sure my MAC was configured correctly and also spoke with NETGEAR support(WHICH TESTED THE ROUTER AND THEY SAY NOTHING IS WRONG WITH IT) They both say there must be something wrong with my MAC. I can use the MAC with the verizon Westell modem just fine without ever having a problem. But when i hook it (MAC) up to the router the same thing keeps happening. It could be a a it could be a few hours. How can this be solved. I need both computers to work on line at all times. HELP
