DLink DI-514 Router slows to a crawl under windows SP2

When I connect wirelessly to my D-link DI-514 wireless router from a computer running SP2, I have problem with speed slowing to a crawl. If I power-cycle the router, speed is fine, and yet, within about 5 minutes, I am timing out on pages that are not text-only, and watching little graphics load line by line.

Computers such as this one, running SP1, do fine. I'm using the D-Link router to wirelessly post to this forum right now. My sony with SP2 will hang waiting to post. Internet via ethernet works fine with either computer. Connection strength is excellent (I"m right next to the router.)

I discovered this problem when I upgraded my mom's computer to SP2. I've had the same results at her house, and here at my home as well.

Interestingly, I discovered that if I attempt to UPLOAD a huge file via email, I can maintain good download speeds the entire time the upload is going on! I tested this several times.

It seems to me it must be some sort of timeout problem, but I can't find any specific information on it. I note that there are a number of time-out settings on the router, but I can find no info on what they do.

Thanks in advance for any help.
