Laptop now talks to Wireless router, but can't access internet - help!
Hi All,
I few days ago, I signed up with Virgin.net 2Mb broadband. The ADSL modem came, I installed the software on my laptop and connected fine - no problems and very easy. I then decided that I wanted to connect my laptop wirelessly to the broadband and thought that it would be straight forward. After a little while, I managed to setup the wireless network, so my laptop now talks wirelessly to my router, but I can't get the access to the internet to work. Can anyone give me some pointers as to how a broadband account (logon and password with Virgin) works in conjuction with a wireless router, e.g. settings and confirguration/technology? Any help would be very much appriciated. Thanks all, Brendon. |
