Speedstream 4200 Disconnection
Hi all
New here. I'm a PC tech but have struck a problem with the above ADSL router attatched to a friend's PC. Normally i've been able to assist via phone and problems have been simple. This router connects via USB or Ethernet and the connection has never worked during the 2 weks he's had it. He can log on no problems but after surfing about 5 pages deep,it disconnects everytime. I have been through his network settings with him and they all seem correct. There are no "timeouts" set or anything similar. The strange thing is that when the Telstra tech connected his laptop it all worked perfectly. As the tech was telstra's *****,he would NOT help with any actual PC problem. Everything i have suggested,we've tried but to no avil. ANy thoughts??? Dorothydix |
