"Can't send data to modem" error message

hi,
I am getting this error message when trying to send one particular fax. I'm using Winfax Pro V. 10.0; windows 2000 Advanced Server. The exact error message is:

Can't send data to the modem. Please try powering

I found a tech support note on Symantec's web site that described this problem and how to fix it. I followed those instructions but it has not fixed the problem.

It's a 2-page fax with a few greyscale images. I don't have a problem sending any other faxes. It starts to send the first fax and then I get the error message - after that, it doesn't every try to send the fax to the other recipients, just shows the error message for each one and moves them to the out box.

Strangely though I can send the fax to myself, no problem.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
thanks
Pat
