Connection Acting Weird... Again.
I can play Halo 2 through X-Box live... I can get on the intenret. It's just SUPER slow. It was going fast for a very long time, through Mozilla Firefox but my IE was going slow. Now, they're BOTH going slow and if I take my ethernet cable out to plug it into my X-Box, once I try to put it back into my computer, I often get a little to no connectivity sign thingy and have to try over and over to get a regular, but slow connection. I have cable through Road Runner and a regular modem, no router or anything. Help please!

Every time you connect a new device to a modem (cable or DSL) you need to power cycle the modem to clear the MAC address cache.
Based up your comments, I would first try to turn the cable modem off for 30 seconds, then back on. JamesO |
