Static IP route on Speedtouch 716wl
Hello,
Anyone got any ideas why this brand new speed touch keeps changing the set static IP for a device attached? I have a slightly strange setup where i actually have a vpn firewall device attached to the modem/router. This needs its own static public ip. The speedtouch should do this just fine and does when you test it out on a pc, (designed so you can run websites through it theat need public ip address). But as soon as i attach the firewall, it sees the correct ip, it then reboots and then the modem/router dishes out a different address! It just all gets worse from there, and i have no idea why. Has anyone got any experience of these devices and trying to get a device behind it to have a public IP? Any help would be great, preferably before i throw this thing out the window. Regards Will |
