Verizon Self-Install Problems...

Hello, maybe you can help with a problem that has been bugging me for awhile know. I not so recently purchased a Verizon self-install kit, and I have recieved the e-mail stating that my service was activated. However, know that I attempt to install DSL, I'm having a problem. I can install until the point where I must connect to the DSL activation server, it promptly loads for no end at this point. I have a Westell 6100 modem. I tried to install before the service date, would that be a problem? Also, sometimes it detects that my computer can support and ethernet connection, most times it dosen't. I have a network interface card, so I can support the connection. This leads me to believe it is a hardware problem, maybe someone of more expertise can give me more information?

Go to the add/remove control panel and remove the verizon software. Reboot and try the install again.

Tried it, but unfortunatley it did not work. I still get stuck on the same page and it did not detect my interface card. The page loads, but nothing happens. I leave it for awhile, around 15 mins.
