intsallation help
i got sbc yahoo highspeed internet and in the mail they sent the hardware and the installation cd. i got it the other day and ever since i have been trying to install it.
i get to the part when it asks my modems number i put it in and click next. then it starts to connect. it asks what the modem number is and i put it in and click next. but after that it loses connection or something and wont connect anymore even when you click retry. does anyone know how to help me? i followd the instructions on the setup and i dont think thats the problem . |

I'd call the folks at Yahoo. There could be any number of reasons, my guess is you don't actually have a good DSL connection. Are you sure all the phones have filters? Did you try connecting the modem directly to the telephone service entrance and disconnecting all the inside wiring?
