Wireless Adapter Trouble
Hi,
I just installed TRENDnet 108Mbps 802.11g Wireless PCI Adapter - TEW-443PI into my compaq p3, circa 2001, running windows xp. When I try running the "new hardware detected" application it will get all the way to the finish box and then freezes. This has also led my computer to freeze at the windows xp screen and to start up in safe mode. The software that came with the adapter has already been installed and I've been following the instructions. Also I can't find the windows wireless configuration app that I'm directed to disable by going to control panel, network connections, right clicking on that, click properties and disable. Neither Enable or disable APPEAR. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |
