Hi,
I have a simple 2 computer setup on a cable modem using a Linksys wirless-g 2.4 ghz router. I have the connections direct to computers and do not use the wirless feature. The problem is that lately I have been getting intermittent outages on my internet. Seems every 30 minutes or so I will loss the connection. I took one computer off the setup and hardwired the other directly to the cable modem and since then I have had no problems. I did this about 3 hours ago. I suspect that the problem is the router and it may be because the router tends to get hot after a few days of use and begans to get buggy. This is the third linksys router I have used over the last 5 years and they all seem to crap out after a while. Time to buy another router and if so which one. I am begining to think that Linksys is a toy. John |

I've split your post into it's own thread, we don't combine multiple problems into a single thread.
If the routers keep dying, I'd suggest you review your environment and power input. If three Linksys units have failed, I'd also consider another brand.
