SpeedStream 5360 and Enternet 300
I use a SpeedStream 5360 modem to connect to the internet through SBC. the powerlight is on and the 3 other lights flash continuously. i have read online that this means there was a modem failure and it was caused by an incompatibility between my modem and enternet 300 v1.5b. problem is enternet is no longer supported by EfficientNetworks and neither is my modem. I have been using this modem for years and this is the first time the problem has occurred. Why now? also, other sources tell me the only solution is to buy a new modem. is that true?
note: for the past year or so I have been using a netgear router as well if that makes any difference. |

Well, if you changed the device attached to the modem, you need to power cycle the modem, could that be the issue?
Have you connected directly to the modem with a computer to see if that works? If so, I'd say the modem is working.

I guess those sources are correct, the modem may indeed be bad.
