Question Problem (CONNECTION HAS LIMITED OR NO CONNECTIVITY" !!)

Hi everyone i having a problem !! Fix this problem please

My Lan modem status show like this "CONNECTION HAS LIMITED OR NO CONNECTIVITY" !!

My PC> Windows Xp home edition SP2 with 256RAM
My LAN modem > Aztech DSL3100R with 512kbps connection speed

I had click the "repair" button to renew the ip address but useless. I think the problem caused this happen> "ip address" so i had done this step. Start> run> cmd> ipconfig/release. After that type > ipconfig/renew. But it say
" an error occured while renewing interface local area connection : unable to contact your DHCP server. Request has timed out"

Any ways to fix it? help please ????

Start by eliminating the usual suspects. Make sure the cable is good, and the DSL modem is connected to the ISP.

What happened before this occured? If you've installed any software, try a system-restore to before the install to see if that will correct the problem.
