The main computer in my house is a Mac G5 and we use SBC DSL with a wireless router. My question is ... for another computer, a Dell XPS in another room, what do I need to use that wireless connection? How do I do that and what do I need to buy? Thank you!!!

You will need to get a wireless NIC card (internal)
