I Installed Morpheus last night, although I dont think that has anything to do with my problem... All of the sudden, this morning I couldn't browse. When I try to ping an address, albeit on my LAN or an Internet IP, the space where the IP gets resolved is a mess. For instance, instead of it saying :
Pinging 192.168.0.1 With 32 Bytes of data: It says : Pinging ºÿ With 32 Bytes of Data: It also sounds a beep, so one or more characters that it wants to display might just be audible ones. I run Windows XP, and cant really afford to reinstall the system. Although I guess that would be the best. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

I know, I know...
I know you shouldn't use P2P Software, but I had to download something, and got desperate.
Replying to say that I found a fix. It was basically a two part fix, one being I had to remove the New.Net Spyware application. The other being that Morpheus, and other P2P software packages tend to alter windows settings, one being Winsock. New.Net stuffed with my domain resolving, and the Winsock being damaged caused my PC to lose Internet Connectivity. Just incase someone has the same problem... |
