Mistake ##wierd problems in ics (again)##

hi i recently posted the thread http://www.techsupportforum.com/mode...ble-modem.html
and i managed to get it all working but every time the connection dropped out or a pc is restarted i had to basically rerun the wizard but this last time it isnt working at all i thought maybe it was becuase of dhcp renew times but i dont know the modems IP possibly could someone direct me on how to setup the LAN described in the old thread but with static settings? i have never seen this behaviour before and i only have until tommorrow night to get it done. please help!

May I suggest a broadband router? I hate ICS, and you are illustrating one reason why.

yeah i do too i am currently using a router and a 24port switch (woot) but i dont know if you read my previous post or wether i didnt explain it but this is for my friend who wants it done as cheap as he can. :) any help appriciated

Since you can pick up a broadband router on a rebate deal for $10 and up, I think you can easily dodge that much aggravation in trying to get ICS to work.

Here's where I'd start my search for a cheap broadband router.

heh yeah i know but the guy i made it for is super stingy he got 30m cat5 and a netgear NiC off me for $20 (i just want to see it work for fun) so i doubt he will pay anything like that. but anyways dont worry it would be nice to fix but it apparently works now even after he rebooted? oh well schools out now so i dont need to worry. but thanx anyways
