Hi does having a filter on evry phone socket in the house make a difference, because i have an unused phone socket in the atic, it might be a dumb question, but does this need A FILTER even though theres no phone linked to it?

and do diiferent makes of filters and adsl modems increase quality of internet

instead of putting one on every phone just use a house filter where the line enters the house

But to answer your question, filters only have to be in the sockets that have phones plugged into them. It filters out odd noises that you would hear without them.
