I have SBC as my DSL provider and I am using a Zoom 5590 Modem and router. I am using wired connections to both computers. This problem has been on going even before I bought the 5590 modem. I will turn on either my desktop or my notebook and I will not be able to get connected to the internet. If I go and turn on the other computer I can get connected?? Is there some sort of load issues that I'm not aware of? I have tried all the obvious like replacing cables, modem, unplugging phones, updating firmware etc. This continues to be an intermittent problem. I have assigned a static IP address on both machines but still the problem persists. Any ideas???
Thanks |

On each computer, do this:
Open a DOS window and type: IPCONFIG /ALL >C:RESULT.TXT Open C:\RESULT.TXT with Notepad and copy/paste the entire results here.
